Discourse Cohesion plays an important role in the coherence of discourse.Appropriate cohesion makes the text fluent,in contrast,inappropriate cohesion affects the coherence of the text and,seriously,communication.For Chinese language learners,it is very important to realize the correct cohesion in order to realize the coherent expression of Chinese discourse.In the primary stage of learning Chinese,learners seldom contact with the large segment of discourse expression,and discourse cohesion is not paid much attention to.But in intermediate and advanced stage,the problems about discourse cohesion of people who learn Chinese in spoken Chinese discourse becomes increasingly prominent,which affects the coherence of spoken Chinese discourse.Based on the theory of discourse cohesion and take the foreign students from English-speaking countries in intermediate and advanced stage as a object of study,this paper is trying to take the foreign students from English-speaking countries in intermediate and advanced stages as an object of study and find out these students'error conditions in phonetic cohesion,referential cohesion,structural cohesion,logical cohesion,lexical cohesion and contextual cohesion.Through the analysis of the spoken corpus collected,we found that foreign students from English-speaking countries in intermediate and advanced stage have the most common case of bias in referential cohesion,secondly in logical cohesion and next in structural cohesion.There are few errors in phonetic cohesion,lexical cohesion and contextual cohesion.Moreover,different cohesive devices have their specific types of errors.In terms of referential cohesion,these students' specific types of errors are as follows:when you shouldn't refer something you did,when you should refer something you didn't,as well as redundancy,deficiency and misuse.In terms of logical cohesion,these students' specific types of errors are as follows:redundancy,deficiency,misuse and reuse.And in terms of referential cohesion,these students' specific types of errors are as follows:when you shouldn't omit something you did,when you should omit something you didn't.Besides,there are errors of deficiency,misuse of substitution cohesion,and so on.On the basis of error analysis theory,this paper is trying to analyze the causes of the errors mentioned above from the aspects of mother language,target language,culture,etc.At last,based on We lie everyday,we'll take a text from widely used teaching material "Developing Chinese Advanced Speaking Course"(?)as an example,and design how to carry out speaking Chinese course of cohesive content in discourse,at last,the corresponding teaching practice is carried out.
