Printed Color

For six years in the Department of printmaking,the woodcut engraving has always been my favorite method.The set of woodcut engraving is divided into the method of reducing the color of the plate(that is,the out of print method)and the multi version of the color method.At the beginning of the first edition of "wander",which was produced in the undergraduate period,I began to understand the method of printing and printing of the woodcut print.During the period,I also tried multi-version of color and the combination of printing and printing,but the most favorite way is still the method.In fact,the most attractive part of chromatic woodcut printing is the process of struggling to achieve the desired effect and color,and occasionally the occasional effect beyond design.Of course,the unique charm of color woodcut is my color ink of different brightness and different purity and beautiful colors--this is a completely different from the color of the oil painting.Although I had chosen this method,only because of the simple color of the print,can be as color as oil painting.I have created a series of "out of print" chromatic woodcut "short life journey,I tried to my observation of life and feelings as the basis to construct a secret and ineffable surreal world--two blue men living in this world,that they contain I yearn for life,but also a record of life to all my grief at separation and joy in union.In this process,I found more and more chromatic woodcut need to learn and master a lot of knowledge and technology,is not only the color,how to express their own feelings and chromatic woodcut techniques for the perfect combination,is a long and worthwhile thing.This paper summarizes some experience I gained during the creation and research of color woodcut,especially when I was graduate student,I learned some new knowledge about the color of woodcut woodcut prints.
