Andrei Tarkovsky,a former Soviet director, wrote seven and a half works in his condensed and gloomy life.As the last work of his life,a masterpiece that had been conceived for several years in his brain, all the attention of sacrifice seemed not to be high, and some more were based on aesthetic, religious, director's electricity. There are few researches on film concept and so on,but there are few concrete explorations on the construction of movie, especially in the construction of psychological space of character building and role. The author tries to start from the screenplay of the film,in view of the phenomenon of the film, especially when the five main characters,Alexander,Adele,Otto,Victor and Marta, are in the special space of the isolated island house, with the spirit state of extreme self, the drama of speech and absurdity. At present,we carry on the inquiry;combine the "unconscious" theory of Freud's psychoanalysis to analyze the action drive of the main characters in the film, reveal the relationship between the characters and seemingly absurd behavior, and draw the inevitable conclusion of the fate of the characters corresponding to the content of the film. And then the new point of view of this study-the protagonist's actuation of sacrifice is driven by the sublime, the unintentional self-actuation is the main cause of Alexander's "sacrifice" movement, and the lofty pursuit gradually compresses the imagination of Alexander, but ultimately fails to prevent the unconsciousness of the desire.Now.Therefore,sublimity may be the most easily recognized decoration of the symbol, with the joint action of the driving force of our own, which promotes Alexander's devotion(sacrifice). It is also influenced by this unconsciousness, which makes the figures seemingly absurd to the author, but free and ambiguous is the inevitable fate of no choice.Through the analysis of the characters in the film, especially the exploration of the psychological space of the characters, the psychological motivation of the characters, the deep understanding of the film, and the hope that it can contribute more to the interpretation of a masterpiece such as sacrifice.
