Research On Tarkovsky's Creative Concept

In his not-so-long career as a director,Andrei Tarkovsky presented the world seven and a half classic films.His works are known for their simple structure and complex lens language.His avant-garde exploration of film art has earned him recognition from the audience around the world though precisely the same characteristic lead to incomprehension of some viewers' and even the obstruction from the Soviet film authorities.Andrei's film aesthetic monograph Sculpting in time explains his film aesthetics in a thorough way while his diary and interviews have also enabled more people to understand how Tarkovsky is Tarkovsky as a director.In this thesis every aspect of Tarkovsky's film and the creative concepts would be investigated,from his individual poetic position to multi-faceted beliefs,to demonstrate the original artistic creation that this important director left for the future generations.
