Task-based teaching method is a part of communicative language.It changes learning methods and learning environment,increases students' opportunities to practice spoken English,stimulates students' enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning English,is“student-centered”,and gives full play to students' subjective initiative.This article takes the task-based teaching method in the oral English classroom of secondary vocational schools as the research object,using research methods such as survey method,quasi-experimental research method and interview method to explore whether the task-based teaching method can be used in secondary vocational school oral English in the classroom,to further improve the students' oral English level,and find some problems in the implementation,then analyze the reasons for the problems,and finally put forward corresponding optimization strategies.Finally,a case of task-based teaching method applied in oral English classroom is designed.First of all,the task-based approach is the theoretical research on the oral English proficiency of students in secondary vocational schools.Through combing the existing literature,this article finds that the task-based teaching method is mature in theory,but it is insufficient in the practice of oral English in secondary vocational schools.This article takes the tourism professional class as an example to explore the implementation process and effect of the task-based teaching method.Secondly,using investigation methods to find out the problems in oral English teaching in secondary vocational schools.This paper designs a student questionnaire from the three dimensions of classroom atmosphere,task design and learning effect.The auther selects two tourism classes as the research objects of the quasi-experimental study,and interviews with teachers and finds that the task-based teaching method can effectively improve students' oral English.However,there are also problems that English teachers' own oral proficiency is not high enough,the type of class tasks are single,the innovation is not enough,the students' oral English level is uneven,the students can not communicate in the target language,the students' sense of teamwork is not strong,and they can not participate in the discussion throughout the process.The lack of teaching materials with professional characteristics and the shortage of teachers with interdisciplinary ability.Finally,the task-based teaching method is used to optimize the strategy of oral English teaching in secondary vocational schools.In response to the above problems,this article gives corresponding suggestions from four aspects: teachers,students,textbooks and schools.Teachers must fully understand the academic situation,be targeted,strengthen the study of task-based pedagogy theory and knowledge,and play diversified roles in the classroom;students must improve their independent learning ability,develop their learning potential,strengthen the awareness of group cooperation,and actively engage in discussions;The compilation of teaching materials is in line with professional characteristics,and the task of adapting measures to local conditions provides reference for the content of the teaching materials and enhances the practicality of the content of the teaching materials;school administrators should organize teacher training,use technology as a means of teaching,strengthen teacher management,promote teacher professional development,and strengthen the cultivation of a team of compound teachers advocates the concept of lifelong learning.Finally,according to the optimization strategy,a teaching case of task-based teaching development in secondary vocational English oral English is designed.Through the analysis of cases,it provides reference for the implementation of task-based teaching method in oral English in secondary vocational schools.
