Every language has their own idioms.The structure of each idiom is consistent and cannot switch their orders.Chinese and Thai language have several idioms.They generate from the way people in the nation live.Moreover,they relate to histories and cultures which shown the meaning of that language that are unique.Heart is the most important organ in your body.we all know that heart pumps blood to all over your body and keeps the circulation system still working.Imagine when your heart stop working,it means the end of your life is coming.In addition,the word heart also has an abstract meaning which is the organ that represents the feelings,thoughts and emotions.Thus,most of the idioms that contain the word heart are for showing or representing the feeling of people.The main of my thesis works on the Chinese and Thai idioms which contain the word heart.We study the fundament of these idioms and also compare with the Chinese and Thai meaning.Then,we divide the meaning of Chinese and Thai idioms into six meaningful groups.First of all,the introduction.It explain the problems of using Chinese and Thai idioms.Furthermore,we did the literature review on this topic and state our objectives of the thesis.Moreover,we define the meanings and benefits that we will earn from our research.Then,the assumptions and methodology of the study have been stated.Second,we study the fundament of the Chinese and Thai idioms.They consists of four main parts which are the definitions,sources,the number of alphabets,and the structures of pronunciation.Next,we move on to the Chinese and Thai idioms which have the word heart.This section contains four parts.We compare the meaning of heart word in Chinese and Thai ways.We also calculate how many idioms that contain the word heart.Then,we compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai idioms.In addition,we research the word heart in both Chinese and Thai idioms and add more the other organs in our body.Fourth,we group the Chinese and Thai idioms that have the word heart.In this part,we can divide them into three groups according to their meanings which are good,moderate,and bad meanings.Then,we do the research for these meanings.Finally,we study the word heart in Chinese and Thai meanings respect to their meanings in the feeling sense.We can group them into three ways.They are the idioms that represents the thought feeling,emotion,and the feeling from the deep of your heart that you never show to anyone.After all,we make some useful conclusions and answer all the research questions.From our study we found that cultures and other perceptions of these two nations can build the different understanding of the word heart.We have 13 ways to describe the word heart but in Thai language we have only 6 ways.Thus,we know that the word heart in Chinese language are so broaded but still have many similar points which are the meaning that can represent feelings of human.On the other hand,the word heart in Thai also means our breathing,breath and courage.The meaning of idioms are usually comparable.Chinese and Thai idioms that consistof the word heart have both similar and different in the two languages.We can separate the way of similarity by comparing the meaning.Some compare thesimilar meaning in similar way but some compare the same meaning in the different ways.
