A Comparative Study Of The Eating-oriented Idioms In The Chinese-Thai Language

A Common locution phenomenon was often used in Chinese and Thai.Locution appeared in the lives of the early people because it has rich and colorful semantics with an abundant metaphor.Many people express their thoughts and feelings by locution.A language phenomenon occurred when locution was used for a long time and this phenomenon played an important role in language development.We take eating-oriented locution as the representative for the subsequent discussion in Chinese and Thai.Although eating-oriented phrase has an abundant implication with strong characteristics of the customs of various ethnic groups,there are also significant differences in attitudes and perceptions of various things in social life because of the different historical backgrounds and customs of the two countries.In order to deepen the understanding and mastery of eating-oriented locution in Chinese and Thai idiom knowledge,this paper analyzes and contrasts the eating-oriented idioms in the Chinese-Thai language.The main research content is divided into nine parts,as follows:The introduction introduces the current situation of the eating-oriented idioms in the Chinese and Thai languages,the reasons for the selection of the topic,the content of the research,the purpose of the research,the research methods and the source of the corpus.The first chapter introduces the definition and characteristics of the idioms in Chinese-Thai language.The second chapter until The seventh chapter point at comparative study of the eating-oriented Idioms in the Chinese-Thai Language.In the content of the source,category,syllable,semantics,grammar and pragmatics total of six aspects,It is found that there are many differences between them in various aspects,and direct impact on Thai students' learning of Chinese idioms.The eighth chapter point at the previous comparison,conducts a survey,statistical analysis and the induction of 60 Thai students,studying in China with a Chinese proficiency test level of five or above,and discover These errors phenomenon of students studying Chinese Idioms.The last chapter point at these errors phenomenon puts forward some suggestions for a teachers.This paper hopes that the results of this research will help Thai students in China to understand more deeply the similarities and differences between the source,category,pronunciation,semantics,grammar and pragmatics of Chinese and Thai in terms of "eat".Improve the teaching quality of teachers' idioms and promote the learning ability of effective Chinese idioms.
