The Study On Pi Xirui's Classic Of Poetry

In the past three hundred years,the study of Confucian classics has gone through three stages of development:from the neo-confucianism to the re-examination to the promotion of the present literature,the stage is clear,the achievements are outstanding.Pi Xirui is in the huxiang region of the late Qing Dynasty facing the rise of New Text Confucianism.His study of classic of poetry has strong characteristics of the times,but different with the Qianjia school reading poetry by paying attention to textology and praised Mao Chuan,he attaches importance to exploring the deep meaning of three poems.Wei Yuan,Wang Kaiyun and Pi Xirui are all representatives of study about three poems in the late Qing Dynasty,which has important influence on spread through the wind of being used for reference and modern academic transformation.Pi Xirui's achievements of classic of poetry relates to the study of Confucian classics,philology and other aspects,mainly reflects in classic of poetry general,the part of Hanbeiyinjingkao citing classic of poetry,the part of Zheng Xuan's book citing "classic of poetry" and other works.Although he believes New Text Confucianism,his opinion on classic of poetry is not blindly against "Mao poetry" and "Mao Chuan" and promoting the three poem.In contrast,he expresses his opinions on the basis of learning widely from others' strong points.For example,he puts the individual cases into history of classic of poetry to comment,which often helping see what philologists not seen,showing the unique personal characteristics.Based on Pi Xirui's writings about classic of poetry,this paper makes detailed interpretation from the angle of contents and methods of his treating of poetry.This paper is divided into three aspectsfirst,introduce background of the study about classic of poetry in Qing Dynasty and at Hunan in the late Qing Dynasty.Then summary his experience of study on classic of poetry and make a comprehensive study of his writings about classic of poetry from macroscopic angle;second,analysis deeply his writings about classic of poetry from microscopic point.Find the changes of his thought about classic of poetry by his views on classic of poetry,researches on the content citing classic of poetry in the Han Dynasty inscriptions and pectination on Zheng Xuan's writings on classic of poetry.And summarize of his thought,content,method of the study on "classic of poetry";third,on the basis of previous studies,summary the personal characteristics and the influence of the times on the study of classic of poetry.
