| Based on the translation process of the international report Worl Employment and Social Outlook:Trends for Women 2017,the translation project report discusses the major issues and difficulties encountered during the translation process at the lexical level,syntactic level and punctuation level:the major issues and difficulties at lexical level includes how to translate common words,proper nouns and terms in labour market;The major issues and difficulties at syntactic level consist of how to translate long and complicated sentences and the voice of sentences;The major issues and difficulties at punctuation level are composed of how to deal with dash and parentheses.The causes leading to above-mentioned issues and difficulties are analyzed and corresponding solutions are offered.At the same time,the guiding theory of the translation project is communicative translation put forward by Peter Newmark.Corresponding solutions are provided with the aid of following translation techniques:literal translation,free translation,addition,omission,linear translation,division and reconstruction,which can give some help,if there is any,to translators who translate informative texts. |
