Tsuguharu Foujita(1886-1968)was one of the representatives of the Paris School of the 20 th century and was a rare oriental figure.It grew in Japan and became famous in Paris,France.After having seen the new spirit and new style of Western modern painting,combined with the cultural masters of their own nationalities,they created paintings with decorative features and gained public attention in Paris nowadays.It is one of the typical representatives of the fusion of eastern and western cultures under the background of Western art in the early 20 th century.This article focuses on the main line of thinking about the eastern and western art forms of Tsuguharu Foujita and analyzes and interprets his works.This article attempts to show how under the background of Western creative writing in the 20 th century,how national self-consciousness influences the trend of Tsuguharu Foujita's paintings through the internal management of concrete expression techniques.It also shows how the western art and culture mix with each other to present the final screen effect.The text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter outlines the background and painting experience of Japan and France where Tsuguharu Foujita was located.The second chapter refines the themes and styles of the works and tries to explain the causal connection between the process of style production and the nationality of being good at learning.The third chapter discusses concretely the intuitive manifestation of the two cultures in the works and the enlightenment of Tsuguharu Foujita's paintings on my thoughts and creations.
