| The focus of this study is the influence of the characters in the Qin Qiang-Qin Opera drama on traditional social customs in Guanzhong villages.The paper came to this conclusion through field visits,investigations,and access to information.It is believed that the art of the Qin Opera is one of the oldest plays,which had a supreme position in the Guanzhong countryside.It could not be replaced by any other form of art there so that it had a profound impact on the social customs of the countryside.This influence is reflected in all aspects of rural social life,thus shaping the folk customs and moral conventions of rural social life.Before the 1980 s,modern entertainment methods represented by televisions have not yet entered the families of the people.A large number of rural peasants have not yet received basic education.Qin Opera is the most important art form in this area thus there is always exit its shadow such as in the holiday market,in the festival celebrations,and weddings.It has become a basic means for farmers to obtain education,information,and entertainment.The performer may be a grass class,a semi-professional group,or a county troupe,etc.They can be different levels.Different levels of Qin Opera performing arts groups act in all corners of the rural areas of Guanzhong,which constitute the rural social life an entertainment ecosystem.Under such an ambience,the basic ethical principles infiltrated by the characters in the Qin Opera.And the evils they criticized are gradually becoming part of the people's lives,which constituting their judgments on social things and forming differences with people.The demeanor of behavior is also immersed in a universal social and ethical atmosphere.This paper selected more than 50 Qin Opera scripts that spread widely in the Guanzhong Plain.It sorted out the basic ideas carried by the plays,the general human ethical principles and social habits of Guanzhong rural society.These plays deduce the general Confucian ethics principles.And they can not be separated from loyalty,filial piety,festival,righteousness and so on.These ethical principles play a universal role in maintaining the society in rural society.The whipping of untrustworthy people,the praises of those who respect the virtues of the noble and the decent have reflected the desire of people to build beautiful interpersonal relationships and the poetry of human poetry.At the same time,there are also parts of the country's ideology that have evolved from generation to generation,such as the praise and affirmation of benevolence and righteousness.In the conflict among righteousness,loyalty and filial piety,we stick to the principle of humanity and the principle of righteousness.These places show that the rural community is also striving to sculpture the social ethics with its own will.The rural peasants learned not only the knowledge but also the truth of doing things for others.The benevolence,righteousness,courtesy,wisdom,and faith contained in Confucianism are vividly reflected in the characters of each opera.The objects that are ridiculed and whipped are the drivers of people's reflection.The so-called "honor and dishonor," "defeat the right and wrong,learn to behave," has become the traditional university hall in rural society.People in the countryside often attach their characters to the real people around them in order to convey their own likes and disappointments.In this way,the stories and figures of the Qin Opera that have become popular in Guanzhong Village gradually formed the life ethic appearance presented by the traditional society.The loyalty,filial piety and righteousness in the drama story also became the yardstick for measuring personal conduct.It has become a model for rural people to pass word of mouth,which disregarding evil,promoting goodness and benefiting the good people in the village.Qin Qiang-Qin Opera took part in the construction of Guanzhong village customs and influenced its social fashion. |
