This paper intends to regard the tombs of Xingang site which belong to Songze culture as the research object.This is going to focus on the stage of the tombs,then talking about the cemetery zoning and layout in order to provide a good basis of space-time for the further study.This paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter sorts out the brief history of the former researches and related academis,explains the temporal and spatial scope of tombs,introduces the method of the research,and puts forward the goal of the research.In the second chapter,we make contrast of pottery characteristics and the type of utensil combination with the help of limited stratigraphic relationship.We determine the relative age of tombs,and then divide the tombs into groups.Based on the corresponding relations of each group,we analyze the culture and divide the cultural period.Finally we find out the development and changes of Songze culture cemetery in Xingang site,which has experienced three periods and five stages.On the basis of the stages,the third chapter focuses on the distribution in each period and space of different types of tombs.Integrated the tombs in size,the quantity of funerary objects,the quantity of buried stoneware and jadeware and other information,we divide the tombs of Xingang site into four types,which represents the four groups of people with different social status and different affluence.In the other hand,the cemetery is divided into three regions: West,Middle and East.In the same period,the grade of the Middle and Eastern tombs of Xingang site is higher than the Western tombs as a whole.In the fourth chapter,we summarize the researches and come up with some original perspectives.
