The discovery of the Zeng State cemetery of Yejiashan,Suizhou in 2011 advanced Zeng State's history to the early Western Zhou Dynasty. The Zeng State, which geographical position is very important,is located in the area of the Jujube corridor connecting the Western Zhou Dynasty with southern regions. It is the intersection of the north and south cultures, and it's also an important channel for the Zhou Dynasty to the southern regions, which has a close relationship with the Zhou Dynasty. The discovery of the graveyard filled the blank of the history of the early Western Zhou Dynasty and made the study of the historical problems of Zeng State enter a new stage. The cemetery has attracted much attention since its discovery. At present, scholars have discussed deeply and expressed a lot of views about the genus of cemetery, order of tombs, relation of Zeng and Sui and so on.A consensus has been reached about the genus of cemetery and the relation of Zeng and Sui,but the sequence between some high-grade tombs has not yet reached a unified conclusion, which has much room for discussion. At present, only seven high-grade tombs have been published completely in the cemetery, and a study of the ranking of these tombs will help to clarify the bloodline of Zeng Hou of the early Western Zhou Dynasty and the arrangement of tombs of the Zeng State nationality. In addition,Zeng State is one of the Western Zhou Dynasty princes. The grade of Zeng Hou tomb is also rarely studied. Therefore, the purpose of this passege is to summarize and sort out the ranking of Zeng State's high-grade tombs in Yejiashan cemetery, and to analysis the grade of three Zeng Hou Tombs, which is mainly composed of four parts:Chapter1 Introduction Explain the purpose and significance of this topic, the space-time scope, methods and research status of the research.Chapter2 Research of order of high-grade tombs This chapter focuses on seven high-grade tombs in Yejiashan cemetery: M1,M2,M65,M27,M28,M111 and M107.The seven tombs are ordered by three angles of pottery, bronze ware and graveyard layout.Through the study of pottery,it is concluded that the age of M2 should be during King Cheng and King Kang, which is earlier than M65.The age of M28 is similar to that of M65.The M27's age is similar to M107,which is late of early Western Zhou Dynasty. The sequence of these five tombs is M2?M65?M28?M27?M107.From the point of view of bronze ware, comparing the exact similar vessels of the same period tombs, and taking the age of the latest objects in the tombs as the lower limit of the age of the tombs, the age of the seven tombs is obtained:the age of M1 is late stage of King Cheng,M2 is during King Cheng and King Kang,M65 is King Cheng to King Kang,M28 is mid-term of King Kang,M27 is King Kang to King Zhao,M107 is early stage of King Zhao,M111 is late stage of King Zhao.Through the analysis of the layout of the cemetery,it is concluded that the sequence of high-grade tombs in Yejiashan cemetery is developed from north to south. The results from these three perspectives are consistent and can be verified. So the sequence of these high-grade tombs is: M1?M2?M65?M28?M27?M107?M111.Chapter3 Reaserch of Zeng Hou tombs' grade By comparing the three Zeng Hou tombs in Yejiashan cemetery with other high-standard tombs in the same period, the grade of Zeng Hou tomb was clarified:Lower than Liulihe Yan State Yan Hou Tomb,Northzhao Jin Hou Tomb,Zhangzikou Tomb, and higher than Yu Bo tomb. Thus,it can be seen that the status of Zeng Hou in the early Western Zhou Dynasty is lower than the same period of Yan Hou,Jin Hou and Zhangzikou, and higher than Yu Bo.Chapter4 Conclusion Summarize the research results, new findings, legacy issues of this study and the direction that can be studied in the future.
