Teachers' feedback is an important part of classroom teaching,and it can influence students' learning interest and motivation,and ultimately influence students' overall learning effects.Any feedback from teacher to student in class can influence students' learning effects.At the same time,the students will modify their language output according to teacher's feedback and evaluation.At present,many scholars have done relevant researches on teachers' feedback and students' learning motivation respectively,but there are relatively few researches which focus on the correlation between teachers' feedback and students' motivation.However,the influence of teachers' classroom feedback on students' learning motivation is noteworthy.The present study based on the high school classroom,with the help of the analysis of previous literature,using Skinner's behaviorism theory,Krashen's affective filter hypothesis theory and Gardner's motivation theory,explored the influence of senior high school English teachers' classroom feedback on student's learning motivation.The specific research questions are: the features of high school students' English learning motivation,the common classroom feedback methods used by high school English teachers and the influence of teachers' classroom feedback on students' English learning motivation.The subjects were 4 English teachers and 102 students from a senior high school of Shandong Province.The study used questionnaire to explore high school students' English learning motivation,classroom observation was carried out to study the common class feedback teachers used,and interview was used to study the influence of high school English teachers' classroom feedback on students' learning motivation.According to the study,students' instrumental motivation is higher than integrative motivation;In terms of positive feedback,teachers use simple positive feedback more than elaborated positive feedback,and in terms of negative feedback,teachers are more likely to give elaborated negative feedback instead of simple negative feedback.In general,teachers' classroom feedback can take full account ofstudents' learning interest and motivation.Teachers' classroom feedback has strong influence on students' English learning motivation.Students are more likely to get positive feedback from teachers,and the elaborated positive feedback from teachers can motivate students' learning motivation more than simple positive feedback.When teachers have to give negative feedback,students tend to get detailed feedback instead of simple negative feedback.Based on the findings of the study,the researcher put forward suggestions for teachers' teaching and students' studies.Suggestions for teachers are to improve teacher's comprehensive quality,to provide classroom feedback based on students' individual differences,to provide positive feedback scientifically,to use negative feedback carefully,and to check the effectiveness of the feedback.Suggestions for students are to listen carefully to teacher's classroom feedback and think positively about teacher's classroom feedback.
