The Intellectuals' Discourse Of Literary Fields In The 1980s

Intellectuals have different image characteristics in different eras.This article studies the construction and value inquiry of intellectual images of “new realistic novels” in the literature field in the late 1980 s,and examines contradictions that the loose historical context has produced the image of an anxious and distorted intellectual in literary fields of new era.From the internal mechanisms of social historical changes,external influences,and the author's own internal experience,physical and mental history,etc.,the thesis interprets the image features of intellectuals in "New Realistic Novels",and seeks for intellectuals' identity positioning and spiritual trends.It is of great significance to understand the self-positioning,spiritual characteristics and value of intellectuals in the process of China's modernization in the transition period.Taking the mirror image of the intellectuals as the starting point,through the close reading of texts,narratology,literary sociology,and the mutual recognition of literature and history,this article examines the shaping of intellectual images in new realistic novels and the social relationship between intellectuals and other social strata,intellectuals' own differentiation and changes in their spiritual qualities.Then it explores the literary value of the new realistic novels and deepens their understanding of the new realism novels.Based on the interpretation of literary texts and the search for the image of intellectuals,this article views the author's own creative attitude and self-awareness as intellectuals,and then examines the selection of the author's rhetoric codes and the construction of intellectual types.The dissertation is divided into three parts: The first part is the background analysis,which is based on the literary context of the 1980 s.It starts from the special intellectuals of editors and critics to discuss the creation of new realistic novels.It starts with two themes of urban and rural to examine the Existence Space of intellectuals in "New Realism Novels".The second part is the image study.It mainly discusses the image features of intellectuals since the new era and those in new realistic novels,examines the unique existing value of intellectuals in new realistic novels among those intellectuals in new era,and exploresreference characteristics and conversion relations between intellectuals in “new realistic novels” and citizens.The third part is the study of writers and rhetoric.It investigates the impact of writers' self-consciousness and writing attitude on the textual presentation of intellectuals in "New Realistic Novels",and explores the internal relevance of the absence of writer as intellectual in the text of "New Realism Novel" and the lack of intellectual identity as well as the self-examination in the text.It further seeks the unique way of thinking and speech in the discourse of intellectuals that “New Realistic Novels” are trying to construct,as well as the value expectation and inquiry of contemporary intellectuals.It tries to make some degree of assessment about the dilemma and mental confusion of current intellectuals,and thinking and trekking in all kinds of embarrassment.
