As a reputable writer in contemporary Chinese literature and even in contemporary China,Jia Pingwa enjoys multiple identities as he is a literature writer,cultural celebrity,the supervisor of post graduates and doctors,Writers association leadership and so on.Different fields that he was involved in interweaved with each other and he achieved many achievements as he had many identities.As a result,his vision as a researcher was higher than his identity as a writer.Indeed,the research on Jia has evolved from one-fold research to diversified research.From his personal experience and literary works,it can deeply interpret contemporary Chinese culture and social development.In this paper,however,the connection between Jia Pingwa and literary education aims to emphasize the issue of how he received the literary education and became an independent literature individual and how he taught the literature experience,so as to conduct the literature education.The research on this phenomenon is not only relevant to the literature data regarding the connection between Jia and literary education.More importantly,through collecting and listing the data regarding the connection between him and literary education with an attitude featuring practicality and realism,we can find multiple connections between him and the literature education,thus enriching and improving the research on him in new fields and from new perspectives.More materials and elements can be expanded for the research.This article is divided into three chapters except the introductions and the conclusion:The first chapter gives a overview of Jia Pingwa and Literary Education.Mainly define the concept and category.Summarize relevant contents from the aspects of mastering phenomenon or cultural practice and insist on taking an objective and evidence-based view to look at or determine various connections between Jia Pingwa and literary education on the premise of primarily analyzing and defining the concepts and connotations of literary education.The second chapter describes the literary education received by Jia.For education receivers,the process of establishing constant connection with families,schools and society is also a process of receiving literary education regardless of his age of living.More importantly,Jia is a writer with typical regional characteristics,as he was constantly influenced by certain geographical characteristics and regional literature.That is why this chapter mainly focuses on the literary education received by Jia and it explores from three aspects:the literary education from schools and families,the literary education featuring self-reading and the influence of literature with regional cultures.The third chapter describes the literary education that Jia has engaged in.This chapter touches upon the two dimensional interaction between his enhanced identity as editor and literary education and his dual identity experience as a teaching staff at the university.It emphasizes the close relation between him and the university and the inclusion of his works into the Chinese textbooks of middle school or keep building a literary and cultural center.Jia was involved in literary education in many ways and was engaged in the practices of literary education to his best.As to the experiences and lessons that Jia gained through his literary education practices,we have to descipte them and comment on them in an objective and fair matter.To some extent,Jia Pingwa is a"well-known teacher"engaging in literary education.
