This paper uses the method of experimental phonetics,using a modern phonetic analysis software Praat to analysis Chinese tones including single word and disyllabic word of middle and high level Kenyan students.Find out the common errors and analysis the errors from various aspects.On account of the analysis,we try to provide some targeted suggestions.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the origin and research purpose of the topic selection,sorts out the existing research on the tone acquisition from different perspectives,and elaborates the experimental design.In the second part,we analyze the acquisition situation of single word of Kenyan students in the middle and high level,and compares them with mandarin single words,find out the errors.The third part analyzes the acquisition situation of Kenyan students in the disyllabic word of the middle and senior level students.We take four tones as first word one by one and match different tones after it and discover the differences.Then analyzes the bias after comparing with the mandarin as well.Through the analysis of experimental data,Kenyan students tone acquisition errors are discussed in this paper,and explain the causes of errors from multiple perspectives,and then put forward the corresponding suggestion.We hope the discussion about Kenyan students,tones acquisition can make a little contribution and provide some new thought to both phonetic research especially tones,Kenyan students,and also the teaching strategies.
