Shed people is a special social group in the Qing dynasty,and their components are very complicated.The concept of shed people compared with immigrants is related but different.Shed people's armed struggle,moreover it's economy and social activities had many adverse effects on the Qing society.In response to shed people issues,the various levels of Qing society implement had taken different countermeasures based on their own interests.Local tranquility is seen as a priority in the Qing government's eyes,they had been seeking good methods from the early Qing Dynasty to late Qing Dynasty,in an effort to eliminate the potential threats of shed people.In the early Qing dynasty,the government had divergence in the policy of erecting sheds and driving sheds in Jiangxi Province,where shed people problems were prominent;The establishment of the law 'Comfort Shedman Law' laid the foundation for the future treatment of shed people in the emperor Yongzheng;during the emperor Jiaqing and Daoguang,the Qing government's activities of comfort shed people reached its climax.Combined with government actions,all sectors of local society took different measures to the shed people for their own interests,showing obvious polarization: confrontation then conflicts with shed people,or cooperation with them so both-sides-win.To be true said that,on behalf of the Qing society,anti-shed people and flood shed people activities continued without stop,official policies and private bans continued too,but shed people still be active in the mountains.This divorce group from the local community was seen as an unstable and special factor by the Qing government,it's a special class in society and has an important influence on the history of the Qing Dynasty.
