Functional Analysis Of Terminology Translation

Nowadays,the translation of scientific and technical texts accounts for a large proportion in English to Chinese translation,but they are of high speciality,and their translation is difficult.According to literature review,the translation quality of scientific and technological texts is mainly reflected in the quality of translation of terms in the text.Therefore,this paper takes the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operation Procedure as an example to try to integrate and categorize the terms in the text under the guidance of Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory,and to discuss appropriate interpretation of each term and carry out analysis.On the basis of categorization of difficult terms and different translation methods,the author hopes to provide a useful reference for future translators in the field of naval aviation.
