With the rapid development of information technology,more and more industries have been influenced by it and the education industry is among them.In the modern time,the MOOC(Massive Open Online Course),namely Massive Open Online Course has evidently been popular with the online learners.In order to catch up with this trend,various distance educations appear one after another.Though studies on distance education in china is of great amount,systemic works are absent,let alone the foreign translation works.The research papers are good for researchers to master the latest research situation and trends,but are not enough for the learners,especially the elementary learners,to have a systematic knowledge on it.Therefore,a systematic and standard book on the distance education is necessary.In view of this,entrusted by the Harbin College of information and engineering,the author is mainly responsible for the first three chapters of Distance and Blended Learning in Asia which is written by Colin Latchem and Insung Jung.Basing on the theories of Text Analysis and Skopostheorie,the author tends to explore the text characteristics and translation techniques of the text on education technology.First,the author analyzes the inner and outer elements of the text,and then applies the theory of Skopostheorie to study the translation of terminology and sentence.During the whole practice,the author sticks to the following three rules,namely intention,faithfulness and coherence.By this translation experience,the author summarizes kinds of methods for the term and abbreviation translation,they are literal translation,free translation,explanatory translation,transliteration,addition and so on.As for the sentence translation,the author puts forward three strategies: the semantic adjustment,the sequence adjustment and the sentence structure adjustment.All in all,during the whole translation practice,the author tries his best to make the translation concise,clear and coherent so that the information in the source text can be transmitted to the object readers.
