This thesis put the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy which exists in the period from 1910 to 1930 in Shanghai for the purpose of business operations as the research object.This thesis is divided to four parts:The first part,at the beginning,this paper discusses the formation and development of Shanghai calligraphy and painting market in Qing Dynasty,as well as the rise and development situations of Shanghai painting and calligraphy association during this period,to illustrate the established background and conditions of the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy,secondly combing the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy from establishment and development to the process of dissolution.In the second part,first of all,it make a specific research for the organizational objective,organization system and management style,operation mode,sources of funds of the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy,in order to illustrate the form of its organization and operation.Secondly it analyses organization and operational situations of the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy.The third part,it analyses the business activities,education activities,exhibition activities and charitable activities situations of the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy which based on the research for the form of these activities,The fourth part,it discusses various of activities be held by the Ti-Jin pavilion Association of painting and calligraphy,negative and positive influence for the whole of Shanghai calligraphy and painting market.As well as the promotion of development of philanthropy in Shanghai,to illustrate the positive significance and limitations of its existence.
