Translation Practice Report

China's national economy has been growing rapidly since the reform and opening-up and has already been the second largest economy in the world.During the period,Chinese medical technology and research have made great progress,such as Tu Youyou,winning the Nobel Prize in medicine,filling the gap in this field.In addition,the average longevity of Chinese citizens is up to 76-year-old,which is longer than before.However,the figure still differs by almost 7 years from Japan,whose average longevity is up to 83.3,the 50~thh in the world rankings.Japan is famous for its advanced medical instruments,biology Nobel Prize Winner,and the high level of drug development and therapy,especially for the sophisticated cancer screening.With the improvable environment and the occasional medical dispute,there still exists a large gap between China and Japan.Therefore,the increasing middle-class people in China go to Japan for an advanced health examination and the medical service,which is gaining a steam of traveling in Japan.As is reported by Development Bank of Japan,more than 310,000 Chinese tourists will go to Japan intending to have a health examination by the time of 2020.Up to now,a number of tourism service companies have sprouted in many independent municipalities and provincial cities,such as Taiyuan,Shanxi.In order to consolidate the knowledge of translation theories and methods studied in the year of MTI,the author had an internship in a company for almost one year,whose headquarters is in Japan and has an agency in Taiyuan.In this period,the author worked on the translation of cases,medical examination report and medical certificate,etc.The practice report is based on the general situation of the internship units and the translated materials,the real cases of Japanese-Chinese translation and medical information,etc.Besides,the author has met some questions of translation and total solution,and the author bases on the grammar,lexicology and translatology,concluding the experience of the translation work in the internship period,expecting to make a contribution to the translators working on the Medical Japanese.
