A Study On The Dispute Between Qin And Chu Qianzhong County

In the Warring States Period,the QianZhong area was still called the land of barbarians.The records in the historical documents of the Pre-Qin period were few and primitive,but the Qin and Chu countries repeatedly scramble for spheres of influence in this area.During the Warring States period,the battles between various princes were mainly for annexing the land.The center of gravity for national competition was in the Central Plains.Why did the Qin and Chu countries compete repeatedly for the barbarians? The thesis explores the causes and the impacts of the process of the battle between Qin and Chu countries,to analyzes the strategic status of the QianZhong county.This article consists of four chapters and is divided into three parts.The first part is the first chapter,which introduces the background of the topic and clarifies the geographical location of QianZhong County.It is initially concluded that the Chuqianzhong County's jurisdiction covers probably the present Yuanshui and Lishui River basins in the western and northwest of Hunan Province;The social situation of Qianzhong County also introduces the relations between the two countries since the Spring and Autumn Period and their respective merger strategies.The second part is the second and third chapters.It mainly deals with the concrete process of two captures of Qianzhong county between Qin General Simaicuo and Chief executive Zhang Ruo,and Chuqianzhong County's two-fold loss in the hands of Qin State,and differentiating the final attribution of Qianzhong County.The third part is the fourth chapter,which specifically analyzes the reasons why Qin and Chu countries repeatedly competed for the victory and defeat of the Qianzhong County and the impact of the competition between Qin and Chu countries in the Central of Qianzhong region.The repeated struggles between the Qin and Chu states for the Qianzhong County was determined by its special geographical relationship.In the middle of the dispute between the two sides for the Qianzhong County,the Warring States situation has changed,and the war has also brought new development to the Suizhong County.Also it provided a reference to later generation on Frontier governance.
