| The Water-Moon Kwan-yin,also known as the water auspicious Kwan-yin or the water auspicious bodhisattva.It is one of the 33 buddhist Kwan-yin,which is the embodiment of Kwan-yin's single-minded view of water.Miao created in the tang dynasty,after the development of various generations,especially in the western summer water Kwan-yin,the most exquisite.Article mainly Tangut period of Water-Moon Kwan-yin as investigation object,and analyzed the blackwater city ruins unearthed in dunhuang murals and some scroll painting,and the different period of Water-Moon Kwan-yin figure classification of the various elements,its statues origin,such as painting techniques for comprehensive analysis,sums up the artistic style of Tangut Water-Moon Kwan-yin.In addition,because of the influence of the artistic style of the surrounding ethnic minorities,which is dominated by han and Tibetan areas,it is innovative on its basis.Tangut Water-Moon Kwan-yin so popular,except Water-Moon Kwan-yin image conforms to the maternal aesthetic Water-Moon Kwan-yin leads to the pure land of the priests and Tangut a number of women in power drive is the main reason for its popularity.It is not only the aesthetic needs of the art,but also the expression of faith through art.During the Tangut period,the Kwan-yin is a combination of the unique national art styles and the creative multi-ethnic and complex national culture.However,we also see that,although the picture is exquisite and abundant,the artistic connotation is not enough,which may be related to the development of Buddhism. |
