The preposition "gei" is one of the widely used function words in modern Chinese and an earlier but harder function word for foreign students,which is no exception to Thai students.Based on the interlanguage corpus,this paper examines the bias of "gei" to three different grades of Thai students at the beginning,middle,and high levels,and conducts a survey on different levels of learners who are Thai native speakers of Yunnan International Studies University A Survey of the Use of the Preposition "gei".The survey found that there are many errors in the practical application of the preposition "gei" to Thai students in different stages.There are four main types of errors: omission,wrong addition,misuse and wrong sequence,As a teacher of Chinese as a foreign language,we can not ignore the students' mistakes.In addition,based on the theory of bias analysis,this paper analyzes the reasons for the bias of Thai students,mainly including the negative transfer of mother tongue,the negative transfer of knowledge of target language,the influence of learning strategies and communication strategies,the impact of learning environment and so on.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the preposition "gei" from three aspects:teaching material compilation,teacher teaching and student learning.In the compilation of teaching material,introductory grammar items related to the preposition "gei" should be increased and relevant exercises should be increased in the teaching of the primary stage;In the aspect of teacher teaching,multi-level teaching and comparative teaching strategies should be adopted for Thailand students in different stages.,in addition,actively error pre-treatment strategy;in the aspect of students' learning,students should not only actively to overcome the interference of Thai language,but also learn the ontological knowledge of preposition "gei".Through the conclusion of this study,I hope it can provide certain reference and help for the Chinese teaching of Thai students in practice teaching.
