In today's society,the external communication is one of the important means to shape the regional image.As an important manifestation of the interests of Xinjiang and even the country,the image of Xinjiang not only embodies the competitiveness of Xinjiang,but also is an important component of the soft power of Xinjiang.The good regional image of a region plays a very important role in its economic development,political strength and cultural communication.How to effectively build a good image of Xinjiang through foreign communication is one of the important goals of the construction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Therefore,how to build a successful regional image has become a problem for leaders and their think tanks to think and resolve.With the development of globalization,the external communication of regional image has been gradually paid attention to,and it has promoted the continuous development of related research and practice.Regional image is one of the important components of "soft power" in a region.Therefore,regional image has gradually become the focus of academic research.The image propaganda film is an important part of the regional image communication system,and is also an indispensable means of a region in the competition.At present,China's various types of publicity image of the film number,in some areas,and even county city have made much publicity,but some propaganda films appeared such as the positioning is not clear,no creative planning features,performance means,propaganda purpose fuzzy homogeneity,image distortion and other issues,there are similar problems in some of the image propaganda films in Xinjiang.This article regards the Xinjiang image propaganda film as a visual image text,selects the different types of Xinjiang image propaganda film as the research object,taking the visual culture communication research as the angle of view,through the analysis of the symbolic meaning of "two levels" of Saussure and Roland Bart,and using the media reproduction theory to interpret all kinds of image propaganda.The image of Xinjiang,which is portrayed in the film,explores the communication intention contained in the image of Xinjiang image,and finally finds out the differences and reasons of the Xinjiang image in the image propaganda film and the reality of Xinjiang.At the same time,this paper thinks about the image of Xinjiang,which is shaped by the mass media,and puts forward some reasonable suggestions on the image publicity film of Xinjiang from the aspects of production methodsand material selection.Through the analysis of the selected Xinjiang image propaganda film,the image of Xinjiang created by the image propaganda film is a beautiful,warm,friendly,rapid development and culturally diverse regional image.A comparative analysis of the image of Xinjiang in the image propaganda film and the reality of Xinjiang found that there is indeed a certain gap between the two,and this gap is difficult to avoid.The author believes that the quality of Xinjiang's image propaganda films can be improved from the three aspects of“ seeking the audience's common concern,giving Xinjiang a distinct era character,and improving the level of professional operation” in response to the problems in the content and production of the Xinjiang image propaganda film.In order to reduce the gap between Xinjiang's media image and the reality of Xinjiang.
