In recent years,with the development of economy,the process of urbanization has been accelerated gradually,and the competition among cities is becoming more and more obvious.While improving the level of economic development,more cities are aware of the importance of enhancing cultural soft power.The city image is an important part of the soft power of the city,and it can embody the connotation and spirit of a city in every aspect.As a kind of special audio-visual text,urban image propaganda film can display the most abundant content in the shortest space,and plays an important role in the aspects of urban publicity,tourism recommendation and investment promotion,has become an effective means of shaping the city image.Since the birth of the first urban image film in Weihai,Shandong Province,in 1999,the number and types of urban image propaganda films have been continuously increasing in the past 20 years.Various cities in Inner Mongolia have also responded to this trend,produced a number of urban image propaganda films,displayed their respective cultures and charms,and created a good regional image.This thesis teased out the concept of the city image propaganda film and the regional image,analyzed the current regional image of Inner Mongolia,and believes that for a long time in the past,the external impression of Inner Mongolia was poor and backward,only the grassland.This is due to factors such as inadequate propaganda and information asymmetry.Then,we analyzed these information of 109 propaganda films.Most of the Inner Mongolia image propaganda films are within ten minutes,and most of them are for tourism promotion.Taking the paper analyzes how they shape the regional image from the natural image,cultural image and economic image.In studying the strategy of Inner Mongolia image propaganda film of regional image,it discusses in three aspects of creation techniques,communication symbols and communication characteristics.With the image propaganda films in Inner Mongolia are growing,the problems that exist are also increasingly exposed.The form is too monotonous,the content is superficial,and the creative techniques are the same.From the aspect of communication,most of Inner Mongolia's urban image propaganda films have ambiguous and infrequent demands for communication,similar visual symbols,and poor communication concepts.All in all,these deficiencies have not only affected the dissemination effect of existing promotional videos,but also may hinder their future development.To solve these problems,Inner Mongolia image propaganda film should Strengthening the image of the government and the media to shape the consciousness of the main body,enrich the contents and forms,not surface,clear positioning of the city,highlight cultural connotations,etc.,which enable Inner Mongolia city image propaganda film to continuously improve and shape the most perfect image of Inner Mongolia.
