A Practice Report On The C-E Translation Of Labor Contract

Contract,as an essential part of business,is one of the most common translation texts.Labor contract is a type of text that new graduates need to understand,because it not only includes the employer's responsibilities for employees,but also includes the rights and benefits enjoyed by employees.This practice report is based on the author's translation practice of labor contracts of Beijing KSH Technology Institute,Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank and General Motors(China)Investment Company Limited..These Chinese contracts are featured by legal terminology,complicated sentence structures,many “De” structures and various complex sentences.The report first introduces the background information,content and requirements of the translation task,and then division and reconstruction methods are suggested to solve the related problems in the translation of complex sentences.The author hopes to provide some help for the practical translation studies and practitioners of this translation field in the future.
