Currently,with the globalization growing at an unprecedented rate,communication and interaction among different countries are being on the rise.Under such a circumstance,international employment has become a commonplace.Therefore,translations of such contracts are of great importance.This is a translation report on the basis of a translation project of an international labor contract.Based on the analysis of linguistic features of the source text and translation difficulties,this translation report discusses how specific translation techniques are applied.The linguistic features of the source text can be summarized as a huge quantity of long sentences of complex grammar structures,archaic and formal words and nominalization with the most noticeable feature focused on syntactic ones.The difficulties encountered in the translation process are manifested in how to achieve a satisfactory translation version in terms of accuracy,coherence and being consistent with the expression habits of the target language and so forth.And in the translation process,shift,division,inversion and synthesis are the main translation techniques applied to meet such a goal.
