Taiwan's New Youth Films In The Youth Subculture

Since the new film wave in Taiwan from last century,Taiwanese filmmakers have inherited the motif of "youth" from generation to generation.Since the new century,the new generation directors emerged in a large number,who were reckoned as an important force,create a batch of different with Taiwan films ever,which were called Taiwan "new youth films",famous for its beautiful,pure and fresh image style,lyrical narrative expression and commercial operations presented new artistic features.These "new youth films" not only saved Taiwan's film market that experienced a long-term downturn,but also have led to a wave of youth movie.During the course of development of more than ten years in the new century,Taiwan "new youth films" has become a film phenomenon is bound to an in-depth study in the Chinese film history,both the breakthrough it achieved and the ills it brought become the focus of the film academic discussion.In this paper,the first chapter is mainly on Taiwan's "new youth films" as a relatively clear definition of the academic term,from the "group of creation","types of features" and "the history of development " the three aspects are summarized and combed,based on which we summarized the general development situation of Taiwan's "new youth films".The second chapter is mainly about the creation of the "new youth films" characteristics from the "narrative theme","creative elements" and the "development road map" three aspects,to conduct a comprehensive study,which highlight its pluralism,the localization characteristics of the times and internationalization,from the creation level of stylized variation to distinguish it from the previous youth films.The third chapter is mainly from the theoretical perspective of youth subculture,"new youth films" in Taiwan and the important relationship between the symbols of the youth subculture in-depth analysis and interpretation,and then summed up three different types of commercial uses of the youth subculture symbols in the film,and then points out its consumerism tendency led to the spirit of "resistance",which is the core of the definition of Taiwan's "new youth",explain it from the essence and past youth films.
