As a key part of English classroom teaching,the effect of primary school English classroom evaluation has a direct impact on students' interest in learning English,the improvement of English knowledge and skills,the learning methods and the mastery of learning strategies.In 2011 issued by the ministry of education “primary school English curriculum standard” of classroom assessment in nine Suggestions were put forward,these Suggestions for primary school English classroom assessment will play a positive and effective role in guiding how to perfect the course evaluation,How to improve the classroom evaluation and improve the effect of classroom evaluation to promote the English learning of primary school students,is worth the majority of scholars and first-line primary school English teachers to explore the practice of the subject.Therefore the author makes a special research,on the present situation of English classroom evaluation of primary schools through the observation of 5 primary English classes in A district of Zibo city,Shandong province,the questionnaire survey of primary school students and the interviews with English teachers.The results show that:1.The purpose of primary school English classroom evaluation is not clear.Still do not pay attention to the all-round development of the students,do not meet the classroom evaluation of multi-dimensional development of students to set goals;2.Primary school English classroom evaluation system is not perfect.The main body of the evaluation is the teacher.The content and standard of the evaluation are centered around the students' achievement setting,ignoring the development of the feelings,attitudes and values.The evaluation language and methods are gradually enriched,but the problems still need to be solved.3.Teachers' classroom evaluation ability needs to be strengthened.Some elementary school English teachers lack the classroom evaluation theory basis and classroom evaluation practice experience,classroom classroom control ability is insufficient,can not use the classroom evaluation flexibly.According to the results of the survey,the author analyzes the problems in classroom evaluation and puts forward some corresponding optimization strategies,including: establishing the evaluation concept of promoting students' development;establishing a complete primary school English classroom evaluation system.
