English is an important part of the High school entrance examination and college entrance examination.Teachers and parents also pay more and more attention to students' English learning.There are many factors that affect students' academic performance in English.In this study,208 junior high school students were used as the research subjects.Questionnaire surveys were used to statistically analyze the results.The following conclusions were drawn:Junior high school students' English learning anxiety is generally at a relatively high level.In each dimension,there is a high score for lack of self-confidence and intransigence towards uncertainty.Boys have higher levels of anxiety than girls.Students of grade 7 have the lowest degree of anxiety in learning English.There is a significant negative correlation between junior high school students' English learning anxiety and their academic performance.There is a significant positive correlation between the internal and external control attributions of junior high school students and their academic performance,and there is a significant negative correlation between them.English learning anxiety plays a complete intermediary role between internal and external control attribution and academic achievement.
