In this paper, students from the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia are selected to investigate the eight Chinese adversarial conjunctions "but(but)","may(but)","but","however","just",and "but" This paper summarizes the main types of errors in Zambian students' acquisition of Chinese adversarial conjunctions, and analyzes the causes of the main types of errors. Finally,it summarizes the teaching practice of the Confucius Institute at Zambian University and proposes several and operative teaching strategies. This paper can be divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction. This part mainly introduces the source of the title, the significance of the study of adversarial conjunctions, the explanation of the research results of the predecessors, and the object methods of the research. The second chapter talks about the types of adversarial conjunctions errors made by Zambian students. This section mainly analyzes the types of errors. These types of errors include: omissions,errors,mis-generations,and mis-orders.In each type of error analysis, examples are given together with a detailed analysisThe third chapter explains the reason why Zambian students misunderstands the acquisition of adversarial conjunctions. The purpose of the analysis is to pave the way for the contents of the fourth chapter. The fourth chapter is about Zambian student adversarial conjunctions teaching strategy. This chapter later summarizes the types of Chinese adversarial conjunctions errors by Zambian students. The fifth chapter concludes by giving a summary of the gains and shortcomings of this study and a good outlook for future research.
