The Study Of SanGuoZhi Adjectives

Adjectives,as one of the three notional words of Chinese,play an important role in language expressions.On the basis of the grammatical meaning,they could be divided into qualitative adjective and descriptive adjective,which have distinctiveness and descriptiveness respectively and differences in syntactic function.Looking back on the past explorations,there are a large number of the study results on Chinese vocabulary study,but there still comes a problem of an uneven distribution.Southern and Northern Dynasties,the important part of Chinese vocabulary study,is the weakest link of Chinese vocabulary research and of which there's deficiencies in Adjectives research and something worth appreciating.On the basis of existing research,this article studies the adjectives of the SanGuoZhi,which is a typical of Southern and Northern Dynasties to analyze the structure,syntax and the word meaning of the adjectives within the work from a synchronic Angle as well as a diachronic analysis of their characteristics in structure and syntactic function.This thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter One: Introduction.This chapter first involves dissertations reason and research significance.Then briefly introduces the current situation and problems related,and clarify the definite standards of the adjectives of SanGuoZhi.In addition,Make relevant instructions on choice of edition of SanGuoZhi,materials processing,grammatical theory and research methods.Chapter Two: Analysis of the type of the structure of adjectives.On the basis of morpheme,divide the adjectives into single-morpheme adjectives and compound adjectives.And further divide the adjectives into combined type,eclipsed type and Additive on the basis of way of combination of morphemes.Lastly,count the numbers of each type and meticulously analyze the characteristics of the combined type.Chapter Three: Analysis of syntactic function of the adjectives.To classify and analyze the adjectives of SanGuoZhi.The syntactic function of qualitative adjectives and descriptive adjectives is relatively impeccable.And the competence of qualitative adjectives acting as syntactic constituent is stronger than descriptive adjectives.Qualitative adjectives acting as subject or object is frequently used for nominatum,and its grammatical meaning is more plentiful when acting as adverbial.Chapter Four: Analysis of the meaning of the adjectives.Preliminarily summarize the new word and new meaning of the polysyllabic adjectives in History of the SanGuoZhi,on which base to find the deficiencies in paraphrasing of the big dictionary of Chinese and provide comparatively valuable materials for its revision.Chapter Five: The diachronic comparison of the adjectives.To compare the adjectives of the several works of ancient Chinese and modern Chinese with the adjectives of the SanGuoZhi on structure and syntactic function respectively.Chapter Six: Conclusion...
