A Development Research On The Effects Of Encoding Processing And Time Interval On FOK Judgment

Purposes: To explore the effect of encoding processing(concentration and distraction)and time interval(30 minutes and 3 days)on the grade effect of FOK judgments through two experiments.Methods: A total of 360 subjects from the grade 5,grade 8 and college were selected as subjects,and Chinese word pairs were used as research materials.The RJR classical research paradigm was used to conduct an experimental study on the FOK judgment and accuracy.The results of experiment 1 indicate that:(1)grade influences FOK judgment,FOK judgement increases with grade;There are significantly difference between grade 5 and grade 8,and between grade 8 and college.The encoding processing level does not influence the FOK judgment.There is no significant difference on FOK between the concentration condition and distraction condition.(2)Grade and encoding level affect recall scores.With the increase of grade,the scores are significantly improved;The scores of concentration condition are significantly higher than those of distraction condition.(3)Grade and encoding level affect recognition performance.With the increase of grade,recognizing performance are significantly improved;The recognition scores of concentration condition are significantly higher than those of distraction condition.(4)For the accuracy of FOK judgment,it is higher with the increase of age under the concentration condition,so does the distraction condition.The results of experiment 2 indicate that:(1)Grade does not affect FOK judgment,but time interval influences.The FOK judgment at the 30 minutes interval is significantly higher than the 3 days interval.(2)Grade and time interval affect recall performance.There is significant differences in the recall performance of the grade 5 and college students.The scores of the 30 minutes interval condition are significantly higher than those of the 3 days interval.(3)Grade and time interval affect the recognition,with the increase of grade,recognition performance are significantly improved;The scores of the 30 minutes interval condition are significantly higher than those of the 3 days interval.(4)For the accuracy of FOK judgment,it increases with the increase of grade under the 30 minutes interval;Under the 3 days interval,the FOK judgment of grade 8 and college students are accurate,but the FOK judgment of grade 5 is not accurate.
