The Study Of Wang Pingling Based On The Excavation Of Historical Materials

In 1920 s,Wang Pingling first came to the fore in the way of publishing works in Beijing-Shanghai newspapers,then he was gradually known as the literary world with the editor of “Learning Light”,“Avenue”,“Plainer” and the advocate of “Nationalist Literature and Art” and the organizer of “Art Association”.But in the history of modern Chinese literature,Wang Pingling has been dubbed the title of “right wing literati” and “the Kuomintang's hired literati ”,although he has made a certain contribution to the cultural undertakings of the mainland,but it failed to get the attention of the literary and artistic circles for a long time.Based on the excavation of historical materials,this paper centered on Wang Pingling's literary activities during the period of the mainland,examining the change of his literary activities in the former and the later period and the inherent unity of his thoughts and ideas,thinking of his difficult choices in the specific historical environment,striving to display a stereoscopic and real character image,and enrich the writing of literati in the history of modern literature.The full text is divided into three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction mainly includes the brief introduction of Wang Pingling's life,the basis of the paper,the present research situation,the innovation and the significance.The main body is divided into three chapters:The first chapter mainly analyzes that with the influence of new culture movement in 1920 s,Wang Pingling introduced the positivistic aesthetics,affirmed the existence and artistic value of prose poetry,and concerned for social life during editing “Learning Light”,he was on the way of a typical new intellectual;His achievements under the guidance of progressive thought are in the same vein as the emphasis on the translation works and the attention to female and educational issues in May Fourth Period;His edit for “Avenue”,“Plainer” and other literary publications embodies the idea of inclusion and the pursuit of artistic noumenon.The second chapter mainly explores the relationship between Wang Pingling and the “Nationalist Literary and Artistic Movement”,analyzing his important position in the Chinese Literary and Art Society and Literature Monthly,as well as his written polemics with Lu Xun and his editorial policy for “Literature Monthly” in the process of this movement.This part emphatically emphasizes Wang Pingling's unique interpretation of “national literature and art”,with the consciousness of the literati,the official Literature Monthly made by him has the characteristics of the fully inclusive and equitable,the literature and art that he was responsible for also avoided the control of ideology effectively.The third chapter mainly analyzes Wang Pingling's literary activities in the period of the Anti-Japanese War.In addition to affirming Wang Pingling's efforts for “Art Association”,this part also analyzes his hard work in the liaison of the “Art Association” branch and the general union moved to Chongqing,as well as his close attention to the activity of the frontline visits and the campaign of protecting writer.At the same time,it discusses Wang Pingling's literary creation in wartime,analyzes the relationship between his wartime literary view and his creation,and explores his positive practice in novels and dramas.The concluding part summarizes Wang Pingling's literary activities in the Continental period,and points out his relatively independent editorial thoughts,positive literary attitude and persistence and perseverance in literary and artistic career.
