Qin Guan In The Conflicts Between Parties In Northern Song And The Style Change Of His Ci

QinGuan is a famous litterateur in Northern Song Dynasty,whose literary creation contains all kinds of genres like poem,Ci,essay,Fu and so on in which they all obtained outstanding achievements especially his Ci stands out over the rest.The evaluation of the later generation takes Qin Guan’s Ci as the representative of graceful and restrained poetic genre.Nowadays the study of Qin Guan is innumerable but these studies mainly focused on the style,allusion,thoughts and etc.of his poem,Ci or essay that ignored the experiences of the creation subject Qin Guan in which they simply attribute the change of Qin Guan style and thoughts to the change of external environment and there is no in-depth study on Qin Guan’s historical and political background.The party conflict in the Northern Song Dynasty germinated in the new policy of QingLi and formally started with the reform of Wang Anshi and Xi Ning,which became increasingly fierce and spread to all literati and scholar-officials in the middle and late period of the Northern Song Dynasty.They were involved in it consciously or unconsciously and could not extricate themselves from it.The party conflict in the northern song Dynasty also profoundly affected their fate and literary creation and Qin Guan,as a member of the old party is also not an exception.Taking the party conflict as the background and the point of penetration and combining with the factors like self-selection as well as his own personality and etc.in the Northern Song Dynasty,this thesis will analyze the influence the Northern Song conflict has on Qin Guan and discuss the position of Qin Guan in the Northern Song conflict as well as how it influenced the literary creation of Qin Guan especially the style of his Ci.Taking the new and old party conflict in Northern Song as the background,combining with the life experiences of Qin Guan and selecting materials like History of Song Dynasty,The Long Draft Edition of the Renewed History as a Mirror as well as poems and essays written by Qin Guan,this thesis adopts the research method of Zhi Ren Lun Shi(comment the man and the world)to carry out the in-depth discussion on the relationship between the party conflict in the Northern Song Dynasty and the life experiences of Qin Guan in which the life of Qin Guan is divided into two sections,namely before and after engaging in politics and analyze the influence it has on Qin Guan as well as summarize the reason why Qin Guan is seriously involved in the party conflict in the Northern Song Dynasty that is hard to extricate himself and combining with the specific works of Ci,the different styles of Ci before and after his banishment which were caused due to the party conflict in Northern Song dynasty will be analyzed in the last part.The party conflict in the Northern Song dynasty deeply influenced the life of Qin Guan,which was also reflected in his literary creation.This thesis linked the party conflict in Northern Song Dynasty with Qin Guan on the basis of predecessors’ study and carried out an in-depth analysis of the reason why Qin Guan has such a tough life experience in the party conflict wave in the Northern Song Dynasty and why he was seriously involved in the party conflict in the Northern Song Dynasty to supplement the missive part of the predecessors.
