China has a history of thousands of years,and it has spawned countless colorful cultures.Among them,the Chu culture is a dazzling star in this long history.Chu culture originated in Jingzhou,Hubei Province.It is famous for its long history,rich romantic feelings and mysterious features.It has influenced the ancient and modern with its rich connotation and profound thoughts.The Chu graphic symbol is part of the Chu culture.It is the display of the Chu cultural spirit on artifacts.It also brings inexhaustible material and inspiration to the modern design.From the perspective of semiotics,we can see that the figure expresses creative ideas through visual art forms.It is an abstract symbol.Symbols and culture are inextricably linked.Symbols are the bridge between human and the world,and they are also human society.And the catalyst for cultural development.Nowadays,under the influence of globalization,having a rich and splendid cultural heritage can not create great value.Only by inheriting and promoting traditional culture,more people can understand and identify with their own culture,can they develop the value of culture.The most vivid and cultural output has become the soft power of competition in various countries.Under this premise,the cultural and creative industries have become emerging industries that take culture as their carrier and creativity as the core.The vigorous development of the cultural and creative industries has improved people's lives,improved the quality of their products and endowed them with product souls.Museums,as carriers of historical culture,should shoulder the heavy responsibility of spreading traditional culture,enhancing national self-confidence,and creating cultural values.Many museums at home and abroad have also paid more and more attention to the opening and design of cultural and creative products and packaging of cultural and creative products.For example,the National Palace Museum uses cultural relics in the museum to select the artifacts favorited by the viewers,and designs and manufactures various combinations.Practicality and aesthetics Cultural and creative products and packaging,such as bookmarks,rulers,pens,notebooks,porcelain cups,jewelry,etc.,have cultural atmosphere from the inside out;Japan,as a country with a large cultural output,is in the design of museum cultural and creative products.There is no arbitrage.Japan is full of museums and art galleries.Its cultural and creative products are mainly postcards and stationery.It is often combined with its own culture to create and design.In contrast,the Hubei Provincial Museum that carries the Chu culture does not attach much importance to the development and design of cultural and creative products and packaging of cultural and creative products.More attention is paid to the design of objects and the visual level.The research on the correlation between traditional graphic symbols and cultural and creative products and packaging is relatively lacking,and the packaging of cultural and creative products has less of a unified representation of traditional graphic symbols.In view of this phenomenon,we try to use Chu culture graphic symbol as an example to discuss how to reflect the symbol features of Chu culture in the cultural and creative products and product packaging design of Hubei Province and achieve a high degree of correspondence between culture and packaging design.This is the starting point of this article.In this paper,through the study of semiotics,cultural communication,consumer behavior and other disciplines,as well as the exploration of the relationship between the deep meaning of the graphic symbols of Chu culture and the humanities and society,we take the Hubei Provincial Museum as a carrier and take a development perspective.The Chu cultural graphic symbol,the method and application method for transforming the graphic symbol of Chu culture in the modern packaging design,applying the Chu cultural graphic symbol to the cultural and creative products of Hubei Provincial Museum and the product packaging,so that the Chu culture is obtained on this carrier.Effective promotion and dissemination.
