With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the teaching ideas and teaching ways of senior high school English teachers also change.However,the senior high school English teaching is still influenced by the teacher-centered teaching model,which leads to the decline of students' interest and the low class participation in English classroom.Therefore,it is urgent for senior high school English teachers to explore a new teaching model to change this situation.The guided learning plan combines the “learning plan” with the “guided learning” and this teaching model puts students' interest and learning autonomy at the primary position.In order to explore the practical effect of the guided learning plan in senior high school English teaching,constructivism theory,humanism theory and zone of the proximal development theory are used as the theoretical basis of the teaching model,and an experiment is carried out which aims to explore the following two questions:1.Is guided learning plan effective for students to improve their learning autonomy?2.Is guided learning plan effective for students to improve their English proficiency?The experiment lasts from September 2017 to January 2018.And the subjects are 102 students from two parallel classes randomly chosen in Grade Two.The two classes are taught by the same English teacher,and they use the same English textbook and have the same learning hours.However,the difference is that the experimental class adopts the guided learning plan teaching model,and the control class uses the traditional teaching model.The research instruments of this experiment include questionnaire,test and interview.And the data collected from questionnaires and tests are analyzed by the SPSS19.0 software.Based on the analysis of the experimental results,the following conclusions are drawn.Firstly,guided learning plan is effective to improve students' learning autonomy,which can not only stimulate students' interest in learning English,but also help them develop good learning habits.Secondly,guided learning plan is effective to improve students' English proficiency.It is expected that the findings can serve as a reference for the future research.
