In the rapid development process of modernization which is aimed at urbanization, the villages continuously meet with problems like population loss, etiquette and custom disintegration, moral disintegration and so forth, and as the victim of modernization, the existence of villages also faces the unprecedented crisis.Under the background like this, the rural construction grew up after the Rural Reform Movement of intellectuals in 1930 s with much more diversified construction power compared with that in 1930 s,and part of the rural construction practices led by artists even catch the eye of the public with their special ways and broad influences. In the year of 2015,I was lucky enough to participate a practical project named “Xu cun Project” which was initiated by the modern artist Quyan and this practice was promoted through the way of artistic intervention.Because of the holding of the biennial“Xucun International Art Festival",many artists from home and abroad were attracted to live in the village for their creation,so as to communicate with the villagers face to face,so that the broken social bond could be reunited and the intimate relationship between people could be reshaped to build the emotional communities of the village together. Therefore, the research is surrounded by the core concept “emotional communities”.the significance of emotional communities in rural construction and the restoration of rural order would be researched through collecting and neatening document literature while recalling the personal feelings about the “Xucun International Art Festival”,so as to enlighten the current hot activities for rural construction and local transformation from different aspects. The “Xucun Project” was started from the modern artistic intervention by the artist Quyan. He found out the core problems that the modern society faces through emotional judgment of contemporary art and the attribute of critical reflection, which were the order disintegration and moral disintegration caused by the gradual utilitarianism and alienation of interpersonal relations, and the plan tries to solve these problems by putting forward the concept of “ emotional communities”.Through the research, the reconstitution of emotional communities is actually the regain of the emotional values of the traditional rural community, while repairing the broken relationships between people and the relation between cities and villages through the establishment of emotion, which is conform to the relationship aesthetics and the dialogue aesthetics advocated in contemporary artistic context. Therefore, the art creates opportunities of participation, conversation and communication between different subjects for the reconstitution of emotional communities. The reconstitution of emotional communities mainly represents on two aspects through practical involvement and observation of the art festival;one is the resolvement of the relation between villages and the outside(city, world)and the the establishment of new relations, and the other is the reunion of the inner relations of the villages. In the reconstruction of internal and external relationship, the rural order that is built on the intimate relationship between human beings gradually develops. The most important is the in-depth humanistic concern hidden behind the concept of emotional communities, which is to put people with different life backgrounds and cultural backgrounds on the same level to walk toward the future together by understanding and connecting with each other. In the end of the paper I conclude Xucun rural construction experience that is based on the concept of emotional community, and draw inspiration from it,in order to provide reference for various ongoing village construction work.
