This report intends to review the author's preparation, analyze and assess her interpreting performance and ways of coping with redundancy within the framework of Schema Theory(Barlett,1932).Economic globalization continues to unfold, against this background,China has increasingly strengthened cultural and academic exchanges with countries around the world. Thus, the classroom has become a main venue for this purpose. Many universities across China have set up exchange programs to facilitate foreign exchanges.Hence, classroom interpreting has come with the tide of fashion, which characterizes active interaction between the speakers and the audiences, enriching content and strong correlation between language and context. This type of interpreting requires interpreters to process and reorganize information from the perspective of communication for a smooth communication between the two parties. The report covers highlights of the author's interpreting work, including pre-preparation,interpreting strategies, performance assessment and case studies of her transcription. The author studies ways of dealing with redundancy under the content schema, the language schema and the logic schema.First, the content schema centers around how she builds her knowledge schema prior to the task and how her stored knowledge helps activate memories.Second, the language schema focuses on the process of building her language schema and relevant symbols that help information encoding and decoding.Third, the logic schema briefly illustrates how she sorts out the logic of the speaker by reading through the Power Point she receives to form a logical framework of the lecture. After analyzing her strong points and weak points in this classroom interpreting, the author is aware of the needs to strengthen her bilingual competence, extend herknowledge of the world and enhance her short-term memory retention.Through a thorough analysis of her transcription, the author has gained some insights into consecutive interpreting and she has learned how to allocate her attention under intense pressure.
