Study Of Feminine Essence From The Perspective Of Cyborg

In western traditional philosophy since Plato,There is a mainstream idea that the human essence is rationality,but this kind of theory of the human essence often questions women have the complete rationality.Aristotle was very conservative on women's issues.He said that women were natural y less rational than men,not suitable for rational thinking,and more suitable for having and caring children and doing housework.Traditional feminism critic ized this view and probed into the human essence,proposing their understandings of the femini ne essence.This article attempts to promote the understandings of the feminine essence from the perspective of Cyborg.In modern society,with the integration of technology and human,some people have become cyborg,and the arrival of an intelligent era has accelerated the trend of human becoming cyborg,such as the extension of the human body by the smart phone.The current development of cyborg technology has made great achievements.The applications of cyborg technology can not only make up for physical disabilities,but also can enhance human capabilities.Cyborg is not only a technology,but also a critical revolutionary force.Cyborg break the dualism,obscure the gender boundaries,and disintegrate the traditional femini ne essence.Cyborg will have a huge influence on society and women.Therefore,this article attempts to study the feminine essence from the perspective of the cutting-edge technology and provide a new thinking of the feminine essence.The understandings of the feminine essence need to be traced back to the human essence.This article first analyzes the understandings of the feminine essence of the traditiona l philosophers and feminist,from their thinking on the human essence,and further asks whether the nature,sex,or gender constitute the feminine essence as a fundamental reason.Then,analyzes the impact of cyborg on society,women and the traditional feminine essence,and advances the understandings of the feminine essence.Finally,in a comparative study with the traditional feminine essence,to propose a new understanding of feminine essence from the perspective of cyborg,and from the theory perspective of post-humanism,technica l feminism,and anti-essentialism,to rethink the feminine essence from the perspective of cyborg.Liberal feminism considers rationality as the feminine essence.Radical feminis m advocates the development of the ideal feminine essence from the characteristics of sexual body or women's inherent and valuable abilities and characteristics such as fertility.Socialist feminism advocates that the feminine essence is formed by theirs survival relationship.Cyborg dispelled the traditional feminism' understandings of feminine essence,broke a single ideal of feminine essence and women were free to choose and construct their own essence.The femini ne essence is different and diverse.It is a cross products of a variety of factors such as society,nature,politics,discourse,gender,and culture.
