Study About The Differences Of Chinese Landscape Paintings On The Performance Of The Loess Plateau

Chinese landscape paintings with the theme of the Loess Plateau began to be exhibited by artists in modern times.During the period of the Five Dynasties to the Song Dynasty,it was the stage of the rise and maturity of Chinese landscape painting.At that time,painters mainly focused on the description of the famous mountains,great rivers as well as the mountains in the south.Few artists paid close attention to the theme of the Loess Plateau.In the 1930 s,artists began to pay attention to the theme of the Loess Plateau,as Shanbei became an important city in the Anti-Japanese War.In the early stage of excavation,most of the artistic creations used character print as their main themes.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,painters who were mainly based on the Chang`an Painting School gradually created landscape paintings with the theme of the Loess Plateau.The Chang'an Painting School,represented by Shi Lu and Zhao Wangyun,firmly implemented the Party's principles and policies of literature and art-to live in depth,to inherit traditions,to bring forth the new through the old,to make the past serve the present,to making foreign things serve China,to flourish and to contend with a hundred schools of thought so as to better serve the socialism.Shi Lu even put forward the slogan of “extending one hand to the tradition and one hand to life”.Under the guidance of Shi Lu,they created a large number of works.Most of the works are different from the traditional landscape paintings with the theme of the Loess Plateau.In 1961,the XiAn Art Exhibition of Chinese Painting Research Exhibition was exhibited and achieved great success,with far-reaching impact across the country,for example,let the people recognize the feasibility of creating the subject matter of the Loess Plateau and arouse the interest of landscape painters across the country.As a result,many landscape artists,such as Beijing School,Shanghai School,Jinling School and Lingnan School,began to plan to have a research trip about the Loess Plateau.Both the unique landform and cultural customs and the important status of revolutionarysubject about the Loess Plateau are treasures for artists.The artists combined the Loess Plateau with their own techniques to create many landscape paintings with the theme of the Loess Plateau,all of which fully incorporated the artist's own techniques,knowledge as well as accomplishments.This paper aims to analyze the landscape paintings of the Loess Plateau by image analysis.Due to the different perspectives,the presentations also show different forms of expression,and vary creative results.They have made great breakthroughs in terms of materials,compositions,performance techniques and picture effect,and form rich and colorful scenes.All of these factors have far-reaching effects on future generations.We can guide our thoughts of landscape painting creation by analyzing the reasons and internal rules of this phenomenon and differences of the formation and creation about some representative artists.At all times and in all countries,each person's living environment,educational background,experiences,personalities,perspectives,preferences are various.When we create landscape paintings,we have to encounter the questions which were same as the ones of predecessors,that is,how to create,how to combine our own advantages and characteristics,and how to find our own direction as we face the choice between tradition and innovation.These doubts can refer to the commonality of predecessors in searching for new breakthroughs in their own creations when they are in the face of the new theme of the Loess Plateau.They are likely to inherit and develop the tradition,or look for inspiration in sketching,or draw on other arts,or make full use of all the above methods,providing a variety of ideas for our present creation and the combination of their own advantages.
