The Articulate About The Relationship Between De And Xing In Zhuangzi's Thought

The aim in this essay is to try to discuss the relationship between De and Xing along with settling life in peace in Zhuangzi's thought.The theory of life in Zhuangzi' s thought is based on his cosmology of Zhuangzi,in other words,Zhuangzi's cosmology is the objective foundation of his theory of life.Firstly,A clarification from the aspect of cosmology which is devoted to discussing the origin of De and Xing and their position of legality will be carried out,which leads to the conclusion that both of De and Xing come from Dao who also provides their legality.Although the nature of things is diverse,Dao gets through all the diversity and changes the diversity into Yi(entirety).Furthermore,the natures of De and Xing are self-contained and complete,so that it's needless to add something more with the object.Secondly,the there will be an interpretation of the theory of life which is about the relationship between De and Xing.the relationship of Xin and Xing has effect on the relationship of De and Xing,the reason of the life's predicament is that the activity of human does not match with Jingshen(the nature of human)—— Xin is antagonistic to Xing However,the key to solve the problem is to break the relationship which brings about difficulty,make the activities of human come into harmony with his Jingshen.such that people who can grasp the truth of Dao,and settle life in peace.Finally,a comparison will be drawn between De in Zhuangzi's thought and Ren,Yi in Confucian ethics.Zhuangzi's De is begin with human nature which in the human's body,however,The Confucian ethics in Zhuangzi's view is built in a prospective that transcends human's body,and carries out a moral exercise which is extrinsic to human nature.On the one hand,Confucian ethics conflicts with human's nature.On the other hand,Confucian ethics regulates human's body with Li,Yue,then fails to fundamentally overcome the difficulties.
