This work report is based on the author's interpreting practice in Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs from July 20 to August 18,2017,where she was mainly responsible for interpreting for training courses. The author selected her interpretation of three agricultural training courses as the object of study to analyze difficulties and discuss the feasibility of her coping strategies. The author first described the preparation work from both linguistic and extra-linguistic aspects.Linguistic preparation includes learning teaching materials and building glossaries before the training courses.Extra-linguistic preparation refers to getting background knowledge of the main parties involved in the training courses. Then in the case study, the author divided the difficulties in interpreting into three categories: 1)agricultural terms and abbreviations,2)long and complex sentences, and 3)strong accents. The author illustrated the interpreting skills and strategies she had used during interpreting. She also evaluated her performance by reflecting on the feedbacks from the participants and assessing her performance from the perspective of a trainee interpreter.Through detailed analysis, the author intended to explore some coping strategies for educational interpreting and interpreting for technical training courses in the hope of improving interpreting performance.
