In the process of study of dunhuang grotto art,we find that the dunhuang patterns decorative pattern in dunhuang grotto art has a very important position,in dunhuang grotto art is an important and indispensable component.Early dunhuang patterns mainly geometric lines,animal and honeysuckle lines is given priority to,because of the difference of every age,every dynasty also has its own style,a kind of typical characteristics of dunhuang patterns graphical extraction,transformation,combination and regeneration is particularly important.In Chinese traditional decorative patterns,geometric patterns is one of the important categories,geometrical patterns in the decoration of the origin can be traced back to the neolithic age,in the neolithic period,geometrical patterns will take the form of printed terracotta on the painted pottery.Grid is the mesh structure form of geometry,previous grid is auxiliary,dispensable,but in the modern design,the role of the grid was gradually enlarged,ACTS as a decorative element.This paper,based on the re-design of the early geometric patterns of dunhuang,mainly focuses on the collection and arrangement of the geometric patterns in the early period of dunhuang,and integrates its early geometric patterns into different kinds of information,such as caves,ages,patterns and patterns,and describes and summarizes the geometric patterns of different features.Finally,it is based on the basic formal beauty rules of dunhuang's early geometric patterns.In the process of design,the dunhuang elements are better applied in daily design,so that the traditional patterns can be combined with modern design to reflect the functional design and application of its patterns,so that more and more people can understand and love the patterns of dunhuang,so as to better display the inheritance and innovation of traditional patterns in modern design.The traditional pattern of dunhuang grottoes has a strong national characteristic,and through the extraction and integration of dunhuang decorative art,the early geometric patterns of dunhuang,it will open new exploration direction on the basis of carrying forward the national traditional culture,and explore the transformation process that can represent the early geometric patterns of dunhuang,the transformation process of graphic symbols and re-design,and finally design a symbolic pattern with the combination of tradition and modernity,and create the dunhuang pattern characteristic culture and creation brand,which is more suitable for the development needs of the cultural industry in the new era.
