Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes early mural mainly refers to the northern Liang period to the Northern Zhou Dynasty Murals. The early Dunhuang cave paintings are plain and gorgeous. But under the premise of Dunhuang indigenous culture tone, absorbing the essence of Buddhist art in the western regions, Dunhuang Grottoes ascended to a new height in the aesthetic and influenced the development of the Sui, Tang and later Dynasties murals.Early Dunhuang murals has created many new painting composition ways, and becomes an important component in the history of Chinese painting by combining the western and Central Plains painting techniques. The Dunhuang frescoes are a main part of Dunhuang grotto art. In this colorful world of painting, it had many cultures gathered here, and provided a rich language of painting for us. I will start with the form of the early Dunhuang mural, and focus on the basic pattern of the early stage, the composition of the color language and the characteristics of the shape and image.I believe that the early Dunhuang murals in the collision of a variety of cultural and artistic created the form of beauty that not only provides extensive experience in painting to the Sui and Tang Dynasties murals, but also has important reference significance and research value of contemporary painting.
