According to the explanation of the word “rang” in Eight Hundred Words of Modern Chinese and Interpreting Modern Chinese Words,“rang”-sentence in modern Chinese language is a rich sentence.In addition to expressing the general verb meanings such as humility and renunciation,“rang”-sentence can also express grammatical terms with communicative reciprocal sentences and passive grammatical expressions.In the Teaching Syllabus for Chinese Language Majors of Foreign Students in Colleges and Universities,which is a reference standard for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it is also recommended that “rang”-sentence should be reasonably arranged in all stages of Chinese learning from vocabulary teaching to grammar teaching.However,in practical teaching,neither the grammar of modern Chinese nor the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language embodies the importance of “rang”-sentenceteaching.One main reason for this is because different meanings of“Rang”-sentence has not been properly classified yet,and another reason is that there is no specific explanation for this type of sentence in any textbooks for Chinese as a Foreign Language.This leads to the problem that overseas students always confuse“Rang”-sentence with “Shi”-sentence and “Bei”-sentence.Therefore,this essay further analyzes the sub-structures of “Rang”-sentence based on the definition of “Rang”-sentence in Eight Hundred Words of Modern Chinese and the given research output,and the differences of syntaxand semantics among various sentence structure are also put forward.Furthermore,the research findings in this research are also compared and contrasted with those in Boya Chinese.On the basis of this,the types and reasons of bias and errors in using “Rang”-sentence are summarized in accordance to a substantial text corpus of Central Asian students so that alternative teaching strategies of this specific type of sentence can be applied in teaching Chinese to foreign students.
