Historically,the post road of Xiangqian was located in a traffic hub,and was a major passageway for the Sichuan,Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces to enter and leave,and a large corridor for native people to travel.Not only the official history and local chronicles,there are numerous records of historical periods about the post road and their related circumstances,with traveler's diary and travel notes also left valuable historical materials,which opened convenient ways for us to understand the historical periods of traveling life about the post road of Xiangqian.In the context of “The Belt and Road” era,strengthening the research on the post road and society of Guizhou,especially “The Ancient Borderland Corridor of Miao Ethnical Group” proposed in recent years,will not only help promote the in-depth study of traffic history,tourism history and the history of social life for Guizhou province,but also has positive and practical significance for enriching the cultural connotation of original eco-tourism and promoting the construction of ecological civilization.In addition,it is still lacking to study the traveling life of Guizhou with the focus on the post road of Xiangqian.Therefore,this paper attempts to center on the post road of Xiangqian,the diaries and travel notes of former travelers are used as clues,combined with historical materials such as the official history and local chronicles,and through research methods such as the methods of documentation,comparison,diagram and field investigation,and from the micro-perspective of the history of social life to study the traveling life of Guizhou during the period from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China.In order to gain a glimpse of the entire traveling life,to demonstrate the changes of traveling life,and to summarize the characteristics of traveling life,and provides the historical basis and realistic inspiration for further explore the history and culture of tourism resources of the ancient post road of Xiangqian.This paper mainly consists of six parts.The introductory part of the paper mainly defines the time,region and related concepts,states the reasons for selecting the topic,research significance and research status,and analyzes the shortcomings of existing research results and the innovation of this paper,and then put forward the research ideas and methods of this paper;the first chapter introduces the general situation of the post road of Xiangqian,including the history of the construction of the post road,the mileage of the road,the topography and the distribution of the main towns and ethnic groups along the route,etc;the second chapter is to sort out the main types and basic conditions of traveling transportation,accommodation and diet in Guizhou during the period from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China;The third chapter discusses the changes of traveling life in Guizhou during the period of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China;the fourth chapter summarizes the main features of the traveling life in Guizhou during the period from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China.Due to the limitations of the harsh physical and geographical environment in Guizhou,coupled with the differences in the stratum life,the backwardness in the level of development,and the social factors such as the supply and demand imbalance caused by the war,Guizhou's traveling life is characterized by difficulty in traveling,poor food and accommodation and high cost;The conclusion part is a summary and promotion of the full text.It also puts forward three reflections and prospects for the transition from the “traveling life” of historical period to today's “tourism life”.
