Based on rational-economic man assumption and self-control strength model, this study adopted experimental and questionnaire methods to explore the relationship among self-control,interpersonal trust and integrity, and to further examine the moderating effect of self-control resource depletion of the acute and chronic on the relationship between self-control and integrity. In the experimental method,138 college students were measured through 3 experiments.Experiment 1 used material evaluation and trust game to observe the variation of trust level with recognizing one' self-control ability in the material. The result showed that people tended to trust the one with high self-control ability. In experiment 2,the self-control scale and visual perception task were used to examine the influence of self-control ability on integrity, the result found that self-control can positively predict integrity. In Experiment 3,in order to investigate the moderating effect of the egodepletion(the acute self-control resource depletion)on the relationship between selfcontrol and integrity, the result demonstrated that the moderating effect of the egodepletion was significant,namely,self-control weakly predict integrity in a state of high depletion. In the questionnaire method,in order to examine the moderating effect of chronic self-control resource depletion on the relationship between self-control and integrity,1013 college students in Guizhou Province,Hunan Province and Anhui Province were investigated by using the self-control scale, the self-adjustment fatigue scale and the selfdescription questionnaire`s integrity scale,The results showed that:(1)There were pairwise correlations among self-regulation fatigue(the chronic self-control resource depletion),self-control and integrity;(2)Self-control positively predicted integrity.(3)Self-regulatory fatigue played a mediating role in the impact of self-control and integrity, the more serious the fatigue, the less the influence of self-control on integrity. The moderating effect of the chronic self-control resource depletion and acute self-control resource depletion were similar, they all inhibited the process that self-control affected integrity, but the Inhibition from the chronic depletion is slightly lower than that from the acute depletion. The data was collected by EpiDate 3.1,then AMOS 24,SPSS 24 and its PROCESS plugin were used to analyze the data. The comprehensive conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Individuals with different self-control ability(high vs low)have differences in the level of their acceptance, these with high self-control ability are more likely to get trust, that is,self-control is a clue to judge interpersonal trust.(2)self-control can positively predict integrity. The higher self-control ability the individual has,the more honest and trustworthy he would be,that is,self-control is the clue to judge interpersonal trust.(3)the self-control resources depletion state of acute and chronic(self-depletion and self-regulation fatigue)have moderating effects in the process that self-control affects integrity.Comparing with the low depletion state, the prediction of self-control on integrity was weaker in high depletion state.
